Mass Effect 2: What Mass Effect 2 Means For Star Wars: The Old Republic (Video)
Feb 16th
I have fallen in love with BioWare’s RPG’s. Many of you may have been experiencing the quality games they’ve been putting out for quite a while now, but I was a relative RPG newbie – until recently. I had not played Mass Effect 1, but had ME2 on pre-order, especially after having played Dragon Age: Origins. Nearly 3 weeks after I started the game, I have completely finished the game on Insanity difficulty twice. I did it first as a Sentinel and second as a Vanguard. I also played about half the game as an Adept, and… Read >>
GRATS!: Space, the final frontier…
Jan 16th
Ahhh, the Red Shirts. Just like the expendable Star Wars clones and droids, red shirted Starfleet officers were created solely to act as the “casualties of war” during away missions. During the Original Series, they were the security officers, but then the Next Generation broke with that tradition by having red uniforms being that of tactical and command. At least they kept part of the original tradition by sacrificing a few red-shirted officers every now and then!
There has been quite a bit of buzz around the upcoming release of the new MMO… Read >>

As Santa’s elves load up his sleigh in preparation for tonight’s Christmas present deliveries, gamers the world around the world are wishing that BioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Repbulic could be something they’d get under their tree. Too bad that isn’t going to happen this Christmas, but we all remain hopeful for next year.
While the game may not be coming just yet, we wondered how the Sith might celebrate the holidays, and Rackham delivered the imagery to help us understand the dark side of the holidays. May 2010 be as fun for you all as… Read >>
Left 4 Dead 2: Game Play Video Of New Game Modes
Nov 5th
Demo for all!
In a previous post I showed you The Parish campaign from the Left 4 Dead 2 demo. There I did some play-by-play game play in the demo and highlighted some of the new game play dynamics. The 3 new infected and “uncommon” common infected bring in a few new wrinkles to getting to the safe house alive. The New Orleans themed map during the daytime is cool, especially for this Louisiana native. The new weapons and items also mix things up nicely, and it all adds up to make for one great sequel. … Read >>
It’s Dragon Age Day!
Nov 3rd
Well, today’s the day that just about every gamer who is down with RPGs has been waiting for… the spiritual successor and possibly evolution of Baldur’s Gate is released upon the masses today. Dragon Age: Origins is here. How will you be celebrating?
The web will soon be filled with blogs about the game’s greatness, it’s incredible lore, it’s nostalgic throwback to CRPGs of old, and hot elf-on-girl action (that’s right, Bioware got dirty again). Pete will likely not come up for air until he’s beaten it. And I’ve also got the game downloading at home while I… Read >>
Borderlands: First Impressions
Oct 28th
I know I’m a little late to the game on this one. A lot of people have been talking about Borderlands on the web, with mostly positive reviews. I’ve just acquired a copy. which turned out to be harder than I expected.
I went to the local Best Buy and they were sold out of all versions (360, PS3, PC). I stopped by another Best Buy that was next door to the pet store where I was picking up some pet food, and found that the version I wanted… Read >>

As gamers we’ve all experienced the anticipation of a new game that we are really looking forward to playing. With that anticipation, we usually devour all the information we can get about a title. When a game company releases a cinematic intro for our anticipated game, we drool over how awesome the game will be based on how well the cinematic was done. Great cinematics for many games have been released, and I can tell you not one of them gives the average player a decent idea of what the actual game play is like. Game cinematics… Read >>
