I've run 3 successful random PUGs and now have 6 emblems of Triumph before I am even 80. My personal experience with the dungeon finder has been excellent. I probably did around 15 runs using this tool and only one of the groups was remotely fail (due to the healer being severely undergeared). All in all I think it's a definate change for the better. Will make gearing alts mush easier. Just wish we had a raid finder... For me, it is like an early Christmas present. I'm a warrior dps, and so it has always been a pain to get into pugs. I am fairly undergeared, and behind most of my guild in progression. Before this tool I felt like I was in constant limbo - I couldn't run raids with my guild because I was undergeared, and I couldn't acquire the gear because I couldn't get into any heroics. Now I can run as much as I want, and I love it. It will be alot easier for players like me to experience content and progression now, and for that I give my praise to Blizzard :) The new LFG(D) tool is amazing. This tool is a Godsend and should be the model of how to do it right for any game that has grouping and dungeon instances involved. Since I can't say something nice without also complaining, it's just a shame it took 5 years to get this tool. Other than that, its fantastic.
